Most assistive technology devices in Singapore are costly and at times, your loved one need not require the device over a prolonged period of time. Optima Homecare specialises in the short-term hire* of equipment for the elderly. This means your loved one can trial the equipment to determine it’s suitability prior to the purchase or meet short term need for the equipment, for example, post surgery.

Technical Handling and Enablement

Our Occupational Therapists can advice, train and provide technical support for a wide range of assistive equipment and technology including:

• Telecare technology such as emergency call systems, environmental sensors and home monitoring systems

• Powered mobility devices such as motorized wheelchairs and scooters

• Activities of Daily Loving (ADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) assistive devices for showering, toileting, dressing aids, cooking and even bill or medication management

• Lifting and transferring products such as hoists; and

• Technology for cognitive rehabilitation and communication aids
